Bettys Decadent Chocolate Cake Recipe

Bettys CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE   The best chocolate cake recipe. Ever? There are plenty of claims for the bestchocolate cake recipe. I get that. But with one bite of this chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, every single person around the table commented that this was the best chocolate cake they’d ever tasted. So as for my house, this chocolate cake recipe now holds that honor. As the compliments continued, I didn’t begin to tell them how easy it was to make. In all honesty, it is probably one of the easiest cakes I’ve made in a long time, really, but I just smiled and thanked them. As we continued on gobbling up the cake, drinking our coffee or iced cold milk, the compliments just kept coming. Then the requests for the recipe started. That’s generally when you know that folks really like what you’ve made if they ask for the recipe and tell you for what event they plan to serve it. As a cook, that really is one of the highest compliments you can receive – well, at least in my book.

Easy Toffee Recipe

Easy TOFFEE RECIPE       Easy Toffee Recipe - An incredibly easy homemade toffee recipe that you'll get requests for time and again! Made four simple ingredients, it is a favorite!   Toffee is really so easy to make once you figure out a couple of basics, that you can easily make a few batches within an hour or so and have delicious gifts to share with friends and family or to serve throughout the holiday season.     Believe me when I say this though, you want to make this and then invite as many people over as you possibly can or immediately wrap it into hard to unwrap packages! Otherwise, you’ll be tempted to eat it all yourself. Promise. And that sort of temptation just needs to be shared amongst all those you love. This toffee recipe is so easy it is ridiculous. With four simple ingredients that you probably have on hand right now, you could really have a batch made this afternoon for sampling. I use roasted pecans in my toffee recipe, but you could easily substitute another roasted nut or just completely omit the nuts if you prefer. If you do omit the nuts though, do me a favor and add a heavy sprinkle of sea salt on top of the melted chocolate as it begins to firm up. You really do need that little bit of salty-sweet combination

Coca Cola Cake Recipe

Coca Cola Cake Recipe     Coca Cola Cake is one of the most delicious cakes and is a Southern staple. It seems like every when I visited any of my friend’s house as a young girl growing up, my friend’s mothers would stand at the stove for just a few minutes talking with us about our day and then a few minutes later we’d have a slice of warm, yummy Coca Cola Cake and a cold glass of milk in front of us. As delicious as a slice of warm Coca Cola Cake may be though, it tastes even better later. It is for sure one of those recipes that many folks just have memorized and can throw together without a second thought. Mama would whip up this cake effortlessly on Friday nights after football games when my girlfriends would come back to our house to spend the night.  I believe it was a big reason we’d come on home after the game instead of hanging out and driving back and forth through our one red light town for hours and hours  – or should I say that we would come home after a little while, not exactly immediately. You know how that all went down, don’t ya? Some friend’s mothers would add chopped pecans to the top and some just wouldn’t have any nuts at all. But, my Mama always made hers with salted cocktail peanuts sprinkled on the top. She has always been a cocktail peanut freak and said the best way to drink a Coca-Cola was an ice-cold, Coke from a bottle with a pack of salted peanuts poured inside. She introduced me to this concoction at a fairly young age and I really have to agree with her. It is a pretty amazing combination. Anyway, if you’ve not added Coca Cola Cake to your list of cake recipes to make, you need to go ahead and take care of that. I promise you’ll thank me. Here’s the recipe for Coca Cola Cake like my Mama has always made it. I hope you love it as much as we do!

Awesome Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Chocolate Mousse Recipe       If you love chocolate desserts as much as my family does, this light and airy, rich and creamy chocolate mousse recipe is one that I think you’ll love. This chocolate mousse recipe is one that my Mama has always made – she’d prepare it the night before she had a dinner party and warn us a million times not to get into the pretty ones in the refrigerator. Thankfully, she would have made two more for my sister and me so that the temptation to scoop our finger through the swirls wasn’t too incredibly hard to live through.   As I’ve gotten older, I realize how smart serving a dessert like chocolate mousse is when entertaining or even for large family suppers. You can easily prepare it the night before and then poof – like magic swoop in with these chocolate bites of heaven that everyone adores.      Here’s my chocolate mousse recipe. I think you’ll love it!     Prep time

Awesome Double Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe

Awesome Double Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe         There are times when dessert calls for chocolate. Chocolate cupcakes to be exact. That recipe has never failed me and I can whisk it together in a bowl without having to even think about pulling out a mixer! Thankfully, even as simple as it is to make, it is one of those desserts that my whole family (and a whole lot of friends) love just as much as I do. And when I make cupcakes, it is always a good idea to make something that other people love so I don’t eat them all myself! Ha!   So, I whipped up a quick salted caramel sauce, chopped up a dark chocolate bar and sprinkled on some toffee bits and called these babies done!
