Stories..!

Once upon a time Shree Krishna and Arjun went for a short stroll around the city. They saw a poor looking priest begging. Arjun felt pity at him and he gave him a bag full of 100 gold coins. The priest became very happy and thanked Arjun. He left for his home. On way, he saw another person who needed help. The priest could have spared a coin or two to help that person. however, he chose to ignore it. But on way to his home, one thief robbed him of his bag of coins and ran away. The priest became dejected and went back again for begging. Next day again when Arjun saw the same priest begging and he was surprised that after getting a bag full of coins which can last a lifetime, the priest was still begging! He called the priest and asked him the reason for this. The priest told him about the whole incident and Arjun again felt pity at him. So, this time he gave him a diamond. The priest became very happy and left for home and he again saw someone who needed help but he chose to ignore again. Upon reaching ho

Shopping in Hyderabad

Even with the higher levels of sophistication that brands bring to the whole idea of shopping with customization and world class shopping centres, there’s something about street shopping that makes it truly unique, with its own charm. The only escalators you find here are the voices of the vendors that escalate in pitch. And there are no baggage counters for you to drop your stuff. But, perhaps it’s aspects like these that make street shopping so ‘involving’, so exciting the challenge to find what you are looking for in the hubbub. Here are nine super-awesome places for street shopping in Hyderabad. 1. Laad Bazar aad Bazaar | Source: telanganainfo.com Laad Bazar is situated next to the Charminar. Here, you will find shops that sell excellent perfumes, jewellery and garments.   2. Hershey's Just Made a Father-Daughter Ad That's One of the Year's Sweetest Arnold debuts 'Hello happy' line By Tim Nudd Two-dimensional characters are usually dreaded in advertising, but one very thinly drawn character works perfectly in this sweet new commercial by Arnold for Hershey's. The ad tells the story of Scarlett, a girl who longs to spend more time with her father, who is always busy with work. Tired of getting nowhere with him, she has a life-size cardboard version of him made—and he initially becomes her companion. But the story doesn't end there.

Buildings & Monuments

At a traffic median in the busy urban intersection of Quebec Street and Milross Avenue, near False Creek, in Vancouver, stands a 10-meters high, 11,340 kilogram sculpture of five stacked cars on top of an old tree stump. The art piece titled “Trans Am Totem” was made by Vancouver based artist Marcus Bowcott and unveiled in April 2015. The cars included in the sculpture are: a 700 series BMW, a Honda Civic, a Volkswagen Golf Mk1 Cabriolet, and a 1981 Pontiac Trans Am on the top. All the vehicles were donated by a local scrapyard. Bowcott had their engines, transmissions and drivetrains removed to reduce their weight, and then mounted them on top of a stump of an old-growth cedar tree, which was transported from southern Vancouver Island. At night, the partially crushed vehicles' headlights and tailights are illuminated by solar powered batteries. Photo credit According to the artist, the materials and objects that make up “Trans Am Totem” refer to the 150-year-old history of the place. Before the introduction of heavy industry, this site was a shoreline of tidal flats and massive forest with old growth cedars and Douglas Firs. Later, False Creek became an industrial zone of sawmills, beehive burners and ringed with ever increasing collections of log booms. Over the years the mills got bigger, the logs got smaller and the second growth timber replaced the old growth. In the 1980s the mills where removed and the area was gradually transformed into its present incarnation of stadiums, high rise towers, entertainment centers and pedestrian side walks. “Trans Am Totem” reflects upon this site and it’s history through references to old growth forest, logging and stacked, manufactured structures.

28 Must Have Dishes From 28 Indian States

Madra is a thick, yogurt based gravy that is a popular dish in Pahari or Himachali food. In my mother’s house, we make our Madra with chickpeas. The most important step in making Madra is when you add the yogurt. You have to make sure that you stir continuously and do not allow the yogurt to curdle. This is a really crucial step or else you may have a disastrous gravy on your hands. If the yogurt seems to have curdled just a little bit, continue stirring the gravy and it will eventually thicken up and be fine.   Channa Madra: A Himachali Recipe (Chickpeas with Yogurt Gravy) Serves 6 Ingredients: 3 cups chickpeas, soaked overnight and boiled (or use canned chickpeas) Asafoetida (hing), a pinch 2-3 cloves (laung) 1 stick cinnamon (dalchini)

The holidays also come with dating opportunities for bachelors, especially if they had been busy in the course of the year and couldn’t spare time for meeting women. The holiday and celebration in the air equally add to this desire to meet up and hook up with women. However, this was not the case with Chad Koosman. He was so busy hanging and arranging Christmas light, while other males were busy hooking up with women. He worked feverishly for long hours to provide power for 450,000 annual light display, which involves running up to 50 miles of wire cord. Unknown to him, this would be his lucky day. People who saw the Christmas light display were attracted from far and near. It was such a huge attraction. Just the same way the biblical shepherds got attracted to light leading to Bethlehem (you still remember?), this was how people around were attracted to the light being hung by Chad Koosman. As you can imagine, some plants are absolutely massive, making it hard to find room for them. Others are tiny and only take up a bit of space, but still get in the way from time to time. But what if you could put plants on your walls? Not hanging from your ceiling, but actually set on the sides of the walls of your home?

The Guerrilla Grafting Movement – Secretly Grafting Fruit-Bearing Branches onto Ornamental City Trees There is a group of fruit lovers in San Francisco that practice something known as “guerrilla grafting” –  they graft fruit bearing branches onto fruitless, ornamental trees across the Bay Area city. Having access to free fruit sounds like a wonderful idea, considering the number of homeless people who can rarely afford a decent meal, but guerrilla grafting is actually illegal. In many metropolitan areas, urban foresters make sure that flowering fruit trees don’t bear any fruit, in order to keep fallen fruit from making a mess on sidewalks and attracting vermin. Most public trees are fruitless, a fact that the Guerilla Grafters obviously don’t like. While authorities see urban fruit-bearing trees as a nuisance, these agricultural rebels see them as an opportunity to provide fresh, healthy produce for free to anyone who walks by. According to their Facebook page, “Guerrilla Grafters is a grassroots group that sees a missed opportunity for cities to provide a peach or a pear to anyone strolling by. Their objective is to restore sterile city trees into fruit-bearers by grafting branches from fertile trees. The project may not resolve food scarcity, but it helps foster a habitat that sustains us.” Their mission, they say is to make delicious, nutritious fruit available to urban residents through these grafts.

Storage Tips + Uses

I’m lucky enough to own a house with an abundance of outdoor living space. There’s a large brick patio with an in-ground pool and a long wooden walkway separating the pool area from the vegetable garden. As you’d expect, it’s furnished with the requisite chaise lounges for sunning. We also have a cast-aluminum café table and matching chairs set in the shade of a graceful Japanese maple. In summer, we set out a white wicker loveseat and two rockers, accompanied by a matching storage chest that doubles as a coffee table. And at the side entryway to our kitchen, there’s a concrete patio shielded from the street by a long curved brick planter and tall, leafy shrubs. That’s where I keep my barbecue smoker, around the corner from a grassy area with a horseshoe pit. You might have similar outdoor areas, and you probably have the same issues with keeping your furniture clean, dry and out of the sun. I’ve got a shed and some teak storage chests, but when my kids’ friends come over to swim, they take things out and move things around. If I didn’t occasionally make the rounds, the wet towels and seat cushions—not to mention the empty pizza boxes and soda bottles—would be out there forever. If you’re removing your outdoor furniture from storage and realizing you could have done a better job of prepping these items for their hibernation, this article is designed to help you plan for next fall by getting your furniture back into shape now, keeping it that way all summer and properly prepping it for its next storage period. In-Season Care The most important aspect during summer is to keep furnishings as clean and dry and protected from excessive sunlight as possible. Most outdoor furnishings are designed to endure a little weather, but I try to put cushions away — in the teak storage boxes or in the shed — when they’re not being used. If they’re wet, I let them dry out first in the sun to prevent mold and mildew growth. I shake them and dust off pollen with a brush. A little enzymatic stain remover works wonders on soiled spots. Every week or so, I try to pick the lea

Before & After..!

A lot of the kitchen Before & Afters we share here on Apartment Therapy feature dramatic changes: new cabinets, new countertops, new appliances, walls torn down. But in this Fort Greene kitchen, the changes are much more subtle. They're so subtle, in fact, that flipping back and forth between the before and after photos is a little bit like one of those puzzles where you try to spot the differences between the two pictures. Can you spot the changes? On their own, they maybe be small, but they add up to a lovely new look for this apartment kitchen. Pin it Here's a bit of backstory: Homeowners Brad and Michelle were perfectly happy with their kitchen — until a clog in their building's kitchen waste stack caused wastewater to back up into their apartment, staining the floors and countertops and waterlogging the cabinets. Insurance money in hand, Brad and Michelle set out to fix their kitchen &m

For fifty years, Raju endured various forms of abuse and lived in chains 24/7. When he became aware of his rescue, the elephant couldn’t contain his emotions and began to weep. Can you imagine what it would be like to live in confinement day in and day out, endure painful shackles around your feet, and be treated only as property, rather than a thinking, feeling being? That’s what Raju the elephant endured for fifty years, until finally – earlier this summer – he was gifted what should have been his all along: freedom.  For nearly five decades, Raju has walked the dusty roads of India, interacting with tourists for coins and food. When rescued his body bore the signs of malnutrition and scars from physical abuse, reports The Dodo. But, of course, the emotional toll Raju endured was no less traumatic. Banana Coconut Raw Vegan Ice Cream

Who doesn’t love the cold, creamy and refreshing effects of a delicious bowl of ice cream? I know I DO! Therefore, I went on a mission to find a better solution and decided to experiment in the kitchen with what I already had on hand – bananas and coconut milk. I blended them up and stuck the mixture in the freezer – FAIL FAIL FAIL. My “experiment” ended up tasting like coconutty-bananaish ice cubes. NOT what I was going for. Is Your Diet Hurting Your Brain?

By Kusha Karvandi One of the most popular questions I am asked is “How do I reduce inflammation?” Whether the goal be weight loss, mental clarity, anti-aging, etc. – reducing inflammation is certainly part of the equation. What we often miss is how our most common culprit – our diet – creates neurological inflammation. The significance of neurological inflammation is enormous, especially since your brain controls all other bodily systems. Because of this, your brain health is at the top of the food chain. Not to mention, your sedentary lifestyle lends itself to a backed up lymphatic system (the waste/toxin disposal part of your circulatory system), which creates more inflammation. There has even been recent research to suggest that there is a direct pathway between the lymphatic system and the brain. When it comes to the brain, you have key divisions that require certain conditions, such as:

Reportedly, the medical team she was referred to believed that she was suffering from acute hepatitis, a swelling or inflammation of the liver. It was quite a surprising turnaround of events as she had not consumed alcohol, taken drugs, or any over-the-counter prescription medication. However, she recalled, that she had consumed three cups of green tea, every day, for a period of three months. The doctors believed that green tea was the causative agent for her condition, as her health began to improve immediately after she stopped drinking green tea.

How to Eat Healthily

Struggling with your new year's resolutions? Our team advises you how to stick to your goals In the third part of our series about how to make those new year resolutions work, we look at how to eat well, be more mindful and have less stuff. How to eat healthily by Patrick Keneally Firstly, a disclaimer: see a GP or a nutritionist for proper diet advice. I'm the last person you should trust for advice. Until recently, I survived on a diet of chicken schnitzel sandwiches and two-minute noodles, washed down with reasonably-priced lager, but recently I have begun to turn my diet around. Here are my tips. Where to start? Start by working out whether you need to change your diet simply to eat better with more nutritious foods, or whether you need to lose weight. The usual method is the body mass index, or BMI . There are obvious flaws with this measurement, but it's the easiest to conduct at home. It's also useful to establish a baseline through a food diary: write down everything you eat and drink for a week, then at the end of each day, work out how many calories (or kilojoules if you're so minded) you have consumed. Just type 'How many calories in ...' into Google to find out. There are also apps that will do this for you with varying degrees of success. When you add it all up, you'll find some interesting things, like that a flat white has far more calories than a schooner of full-strength beer.     Maybe stick with tea ... a flat white can have more calories than a beer.Photograph: Alamy Getting serious Make it easy for yourself by increasing opportunities to eat better and reduce temptation. At the beginning of your pledge, you should clear out cupboards of junk, eg two-minute noodles, biscuits, chocolate Yowies, or whatever. Seek out alternatives to your usual lunch spots that may have healthier options. The daily grind For breakfast, ditch the cereal - it's mostly a scam. Instead, have oats or an omelette with a couple of eggs, mushrooms and spinach. Also, cut out juice at breakfast time; water, tea and coffee are all fine - or fresh fruit. You should be eating at least two portions of fruit and five of vegetables each day, according to nutrition guidelines, and breakfast is the place to start. If you're trying to lose weight, you can do away with breakfast altogether.

Fast Wi-Fi

Fast Wi-Fi is like good air-conditioning or clean tap water: You don't notice it until it's gone. For most chronic multitaskers, dealing with a slow, '90s-era Internet connection can mess up their entire workflow. A YouTube video that is slow to buffer? An email with a massive spreadsheet that takes eons to send? Ain't nobody got time for that!  Thankfully, unlike the days of the dial-up doldrums, there are things you can do tospeed up the Wi-Fi in your home.  Before we begin our tutorial on how to get faster Wi-Fi, let's get a few basics out of the way. First of all, how do you know if your Wi-Fi is actually slow?  You can test your Internet's speed by paying a quick visit to The Global Broadband Internet Speed Test. There you can find your download speed, which is the speed of the data sent from the Internet to your computer. The Federal Communications Commission defines "broadband" to be a minimum download speed of 25Mbps; if your Internet's speed is that zippy, congratulations! That's an Internet speed fast enough for multiple users and devices and best-equipped (though not always able) to handle the biggest bandwidth-hogging games or videos. Approximately 85 percent of Americans are members of the 25Mbps and up club;  As you'll learn soon, several factors can prevent your Wi-Fi from performing at its full capacity.  Netflix recommends an Internet speed of at least 5Mbps for an HD stream. If your at-home Wi-Fi is supporting just you and your laptop, which you turn on every once in a while to check the weather, the FCC says you should get by with 1-2 Mbps. That speed can handle email, casually surfing the Web, and basic streaming video. Pay us a visit

It’s easy to fall into the trap that many juicing

It’s easy to fall into the trap that many juicing aficionados fall into and to drink too many high sugar foods like apples and carrots. While they taste great, they are high in sugar, spiking the levels of sugars and insulin in your blood stream. The song of the mockingbird is actually a medley of the calls of many other birds. Each imitation is repeated two or three times before another song is initiated. A given bird may have 30, 40 or even 200 songs in its repertoire, including other bird songs, insect and amphibian sounds, and even the occasional mechanical noise. Things to Do in South Africa

South Africa is one of Africa’s top tourist destinations, and for good reason. And while the area is pretty popular for doing things like taking safaris, there is really a lot more to do than that. Here are some things to know about visiting South Africa and what to do there. Wine Taste South Africa has a wine country called the Winelands. It’s about a half hour outside of Cape Town so it can be seen in a day trip, although it is a really great spot that could easily be given a couple days to experience it fully. Like other wine towns like Napa there are luxury inns to stay in and really good restaurants to eat at.

Nevada

While Nevada’s neighbor California is home to a wide variety of terrains, Nevada is mostly desert. It’s mostly known for the very popular and one of a kind adult entertainment center Las Vegas. Nevada was named after the Sierra Nevada mountain range, and “sierra” means saw while “nevada” means snow covered. Despite the name suggesting that the place is snow covered, it’s actually the driest state in the country. Nevada is one of two of the states that actually became larger when it joined the union. Nevada actually got some land from the Utah Territory in 1866 as an act that was supposed to punish the state for its Mormonism, and then it also got some land from the Arizona Territory in 1867 which was also a punishment, for the suspicion that Arizona was aligning to the Confederacy. The capital of Nevada is Carson City,  which is one of only two two capitals in the United States that actually border another city.

SELL YOUR HOUSE WITH BIRDS!

I’m beginning the process of looking to buy a first home, which as anyone my age or younger can tell you is a pretty frustrating process. House prices which were already starting at high have now progressed past stupidly high and eye-wateringly high and are now at the point where I’m contemplating abandoning civilisation and living in a cave in Siberia. Prices may not yet be as high as Auckland, which is more expensive that London or Los Angeles (without, I should point out, those city’s higher wages, plus you have to live in Auckland, with, you know, Aucklanders), but Auckland’s stratospheric market is impacting here in Wellington.  I really picked

Biscuits,

Biscuits, baby. I can’t tell you the last time I had a biscuit that I got really excited about making, partially because 1) I’m not a baker, 2) they’re always filled with gluten which is a personal no-no in my body, 3) they’re so much work to make, and 4) did I mention I’m not a baker? Lucky for you, this recipe was supposed to be in my cookbook that comes out next fall (eeek!) but I had to cut it because I had too many recipes ¯_(ツ)_/¯. And now, I get to share the easiest and Ultimate Gluten Free Biscuit recipe for you, you’ll especially love it if you’re not a baker too.   THE BOMB BISCUITS I’ll start off by laying out some expectations for this recipe, this isn’t like a traditional fluffy or flaky biscuit, this biscuit reminds me more of ones my friends shared with me from the UK- they’re a bit more dense and hearty kind of like a scone, but not quite. I’ve yet to come up with a flaky and fluffy gluten free biscuit that didn’t require a 1000 ingredients and so much time; I’ll take this heartier biscuit with little time and simple ingredients over that one any day! My favorite way to enjoy these…well, there’s many, but drizzled with honey, jam, and eaten with tea is my all time favorite. I’ve been known to make a mean egg sandwich with these too with a heavy smear of avocado (insert praise hand emoji here). These biscuits are gluten free but does that automatically make them a recipe we can eat in excess, no, but I think you knew that already. They’re high incarbohydrates which isn’t a bad thing, just be strategic about it. I recommend being mindful when eating them since it’s easy to gobble them all up and pairing them with a protein from these ideas below to keep blood sugars nice and stable. Not that I think you’ll have a hard time coming up with ideas on how to enjoy these, but here are my favorites! Sliced in half to make a Chickpea Meatball sandwich…whoa. I went there. Spread Pumpkin Butter, Apple Butter, or Chia Jam on top Slice Maple Tempeh on top With melted dark chocolate and a spoonful of almond butter #dessertbiscuits Plain with a little coconut butter or oil spread on top with a poached egg Garlic toast? Sure, why not! Add a little garlic powder and transform these into garlic toast Add sliced avocado and sea salt for #avocadobiscuits Add this ridiculously good gravy for the classic biscuits and gravy Add a poached egg with Spinach Basil Pesto

The Praying Hands.

Back in the fifteenth century, in a tiny village near Nuremberg, lived a family with eighteen children. Eighteen! In order merely to keep food on the table for this mob, the father and head of the household, a goldsmith by profession, worked almost eighteen hours a day at his trade and any other paying chore he could find in the neighborhood. Despite their seemingly hopeless condition, two of Albrecht Durer the Elder’s children had a dream. They both wanted to pursue their talent for art, but they knew full well that their father would never be financially able to send either of them to Nuremberg to study at the Academy. After many long discussions at night in their crowded bed, the two boys finally worked out a pact. They would toss a coin. The loser would go down into the nearby mines and, with his earnings, support his brother while he attended the academy. Then, when that brother who won the toss completed his studies, in four years, he would support the other brother at the academy, either with sales of his artwork or, if necessary, also by laboring in the mines. They tossed a coin on a Sunday morning after church. Albrecht Durer

Google accepted at least some responsibility for the collision, which occurred on Feb. 14 when one of the Lexus SUVs it has outfitted with sensors and cameras hit the side of the bus near the company’s headquarters in Mountain View, California. No one was injured, according to an accident report Google wrote and submitted to the California Department of Motor Vehicles. It was posted online Monday. According to the report, Google’s car intended to turn right off a major boulevard when it detected sandbags around a storm drain at the intersection. The right lane was wide enough to let some cars turn and others go straight, but the Lexus needed to slide to its left within the right lane to get around the obstruction. The Lexus was going 2 mph (3 kph) when it made the move and

Ingredients are perfect One of the unique benefit of the recipe is it’s a great substitute to golden paste as it is tailor made to ensure good absoption of turmeric in body by using fats / black pepper and even quercetin (which we have never seen anyone using till now for this purpose!) Here is the list: Organic ground turmeric  – It is important to choose good organic powder as that is the base of the recipe. Febrile Seizures

Febrile seizures are fits or convulsions that are brought on by fever. These are common and occur in about in 3-5 per cent of otherwise healthy children, between the ages of 6 months and 6 years. Peak occurrence around 18 months. The febrile seizures are usually brief and last from few seconds to about 10 minutes. They typically occur on the first day of fever and with a temperature above 101° F. In some cases the child may not have fever at the time of seizure but may develop subsequently. Usually there is a history of febrile seizures in the family. About 30 per cent of children tend to have recurrences. These seizures usually are not a cause of other seizure disorders or epilepsy (epilepsy is a tendency to have recurrent fits without a known cause). What precautions should be taken during a seizure? Stay calm. Don’t panic. Please time the event. Make sure that the child is safe and away from obstacles. Loosen any tight clothing. Don’t attempt to stop the seizure or slap or shake the child in attempt to wake him/her. The child may move around during the seizure, and parents should not try to hold the child down. Do not stop the fit movements. Do not force anything in the mouth to prevent from biting the tongue. After the child stops fitting, turn him to one side to prevent choking. Seek immediate attention if it is a first febrile seizure. Are febrile seizures harmful? Though they typically do not cause damag

Paleo Crepes

About the ingredients Arrowroot flour – also called arrowroot starch, it is a fine powder with the texture of cornstarch. Made from the roots of the arrowroot plant, it is an easily digestible starch and often better tolerated than tapioca starch, which shares similar cooking properties. Arrowroot is often used to thicken sauces and gravies, but it also makes excellent paleo crepes. You canfind arrowroot flour here or at your local health food store. Eggs – let me be blunt: egg substitutes will not work in this recipe. If you can’t eat eggs, I feel your pain as I’m off eggs right now, too. Coconut oil – the coconut oil needs to be liquified before adding to the batter. Just melt it over low heat until it is liquid but not hot. Alternatively, you could use avocado oil or olive oil. I prefer not to heat the latter oils because they are not as heat-stable as coconut oil, but it works in a pinch. 3 Ingredient Paleo Crepes

European Fields

My name is Przemysław Kruk and I am an amateur landscape photographer form Poland. Since childhood I have lived in the village where the fields of Polish Jurassic Highland were extending to the horizon. Initially these views remained only in my memory, but over the years, I was inspired by the creations of polish painters and photographers, so I took the chance and started photographing those landscapes. Simple and mild fields, which sparkle with gold in the summer, are going to sleep in the autumn, and in the spring explode with fury of green. For over 20 years I have been photographing European fields (that look like sea waves) – the ones, that I have seen through my windows and those that I had to take long trips to visit. Wherever I can find a piece of plowed land, I try to immortalize it in my photos. That amazing story saved in time, creates a beautiful poem of our everyday life. Look how beautiful is our everyday world… I have also shared my images of infrared photography here on Bored Panda.

Stories Of The Forests

I’m a fine art landscape and conceptual photographer. In this series called “Stories of the forests” that now has over 50 photos and goes on for over 3 years I’m trying to recreate that magic land where all the stories of my childhood took place. I grew up in my grandmother’s house and she used to tell me old stories about creatures of the forest and all the magic that happens in the forest when you’re not looking. Have you ever walked into the forest and heard a noise but when you turned your head nothing was there… well something was there. You just didn’t see it! My photos are not meant to present reality but a different world: something that is not seen by everybody. This world is seen only by few and only in certain moments. My photos present a fairy tale land that overlaps the real forest and exist at the same time. This is only the gap between worlds and currently I’m working on another two series on the same theme: “Creatures of the forests” and “Mirrors of the forests”. Hope you’ll enjoy these few photos from this series.

id you know that “Loving Vincent” will be the world’s first feature length painted animation, with every shot painted with oil paints on canvas, just as Van Gogh himself painted? Directed by the classically trained Dorota Kobiela and based out of Poland, over 100 painters were needed to create the film’s 12 oil paintings per-second animation. According to IMDB, the film should be released sometime this year. “Loving Vincent is an investigation delving into the life and controversial death of Vincent Van Gogh, one of the world’s most beloved painters, as told through his paintings and by the characters that inhabit them,” reads the film synopsis. “The intrigue unfolds through interviews with the characters closest to Vincent and through dramatic reconstructions of the events leading up to his death.”

Angel the Opossum being rescued

Judy Obregon was driving to see her mother-in-law when she saw a dead-looking opossum on the road. Suddenly, the tiny creature lifted her head. Obregon approached her and saw that the opossum was not only injured (probably shot with a BB gun) but also pregnant. “I knew I could not walk away,” Obregon told The Dodo. She put the opossum in a box and took her to her mother-in-law’s house where she waited for Tabatha, a wildlife rehabilitator. “She has not tried to bite me once,” Tabatha said. “She knows I am here to help, not to hurt her. I think she has a very good chance.” The fragile opossum was scared but clung to Tabatha’s husband for safety. Rescuing the opossum, later named Angel, was “not one of my typical rescues because I rescue dogs and cats,” Obregon, the founder of animal rescue in Fort Worth, Texas, said. “This is out of the ordinary for me, but I wouldn’t have avoided her for that reason. She is still an animal with a beating heart, and it was still beating when I got to her.” When Angel is fit and healthy again she’ll be released on a 60-acre property where hunting is prohibited. She also told Top13 that she has “completed them not only in my local area, but outback Australia, San Francisco and Shanghai. The artworks are site specific and site responsive.” Another great thing about Leonie’s art is the way in which she shoots the pictures of it for his social media, which gives them an entire different perspective.  Check Leonie’s work below and be amazed for yourself!

Deconstructed Garden

London-based artist Rebecca Louise Law has created a vibrant garden suspended in the air in the atrium of German Bikini Berlin. The deconstructed garden contains 30,000 colorful flowers and “is designed to be an inviting, enchanting celebration of the outdoors and of spring color,” said Law. “We decided to name the sculpture simply, ‘Garten’ the German word for garden, in keeping with the simple, understated post-war design statement made by the Bikini Berlin building itself.”

A Letter :P

She hides under the bed to see if her boyfriend is loyal. She is shocked by what happens. This story has been circulating around the internet for a little while now. It's about a woman who decided to put her relationship to the test and in the process learned an important lesson from it. It might make some of us chuckle. After the spark in her relationship had faded a little, a woman came up with, what in her opinion was, a brilliant idea: She wanted to test how seriously her boyfriend felt about their relationship and about her; what his reaction would be if she left him and; what he thought about her feelings for him? Youtube/ BibisBeautyPalace To get some answers to these questions, she wrote her boyfriend a letter saying that the relationship was over, that she'd had enough, and that she didn't see any sense in continuing the relationship. Really all she wanted was a reaction from him, but didn't actually want to leave him.

Cave House @

It was a rainy day in 1999 when Angelo Mastropietro from the UK set out with some friends on a bike tour. The group was passing through a forest when they decided to seek out shelter until the storm blew over. That was how they stumbled upon a long forgotten cave deep in the side of a mountain. But for Angelo this was more than just a rain shelter, it was the start of a fascinating project. Angelo was working as a successful businessman when he got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. It suddenly became clear to him that he had lost himself with all the stress he had at work. You may call it fate, but some 10 years after the bike trip, Angelo was flipping through a real estate magazine when he saw pictures of the cave for sale! He didn't waste any time - Angelo bought the space for around $90,000. To say the project that lay before him was monumental is an understatement. But Angelo didn't shy away from the cost or the work necessary to turn this cave into his dream home. 8 months, $140,000, and 70 tons of removed stone later, the

Moving On!!

Moving on from an idyllic love life that has just crashed before your eyes like a deck of cards is never easy. It may seem impossible even. But you know what? The sun will shine again, the flowers will bloom again and the birds will sing again. The grief and pain will take time to pass. To help you get through them, here are some love quotes about moving on that will serve as inspiration, and give you the strength you need to finally let go and move on. Zahir, in Arabic, means visible, present, incapable of going unnoticed. It is someone or something which, once we have come into contact with them or it, gradually occupies our every thought, until we can think of nothing else. This can be considered either a state of holiness or of madness. - Paulo Coelho Not every love story has a happy ending. Not everyone gets to be with the person they want to be with. Not every love is requited. Getting over someone is so much easier said than done. You want to scream your lungs out. You want to rip and break everything that reminds you of the one you love. You want to hurt yourself, you want to hurt others. You want to be left alone, to pick up the million pieces that your heart has broken into and try to put them back to make yourself whole again. Unnecessary sympathy and hollow reassurances annoy you. At such times, words that explicitly explain what will help you and what will not, are probably the only thing that will ring true to you. Here are some quotes that will help you see that after all the crying and sadness, there will always be hope for something better.  An act of love that fails is just as much a part of the divine life as an act of love that succeeds, for love is measured by fullness, not by reception.  - Harold Loukes If a relationship is to evolve, it must go through a series of endings.  - Lisa Moriyama Never look back. If Cinderella went to pick up her shoe, she would not had become a princess.  - Anonymous Get mad, then get over it.  - Colin Powell Sometimes the cards we are dealt are not always fair. However you must keep smiling and moving on.  - Tom Jackson If you bury the pain deep down it will stay with you indefinitely, but if you open yourself to it, experience it, and deal with it head-on, you'll find it begins to move on after a while.  - Greg Behrendt To be able to mo

Relationship Break Up

Ending a relationship is an extremely challenging task for any couple. There are certain questions that must be asked before resorting to this final step. Questions have to be self-answered before ending a relationship, and they would help you to assess the situation in a better way, rather than flying off the handle and running away from the problem. No one falls in love by choice, it's by chance. No one stays in love by chance, it's by work. And no one falls out of love by chance, it's by choice. - Anonymous Anyone who has ever been in love will agree that it is one of the most beautiful feelings ever. The world seems like a much better place to live in. You look for the good in everything. And then, one day, you decide 'it's over.' Well, it really is not a decision taken one fine day, but in fact, issues, complaints, regrets, unsaid things that have been building up over a period of time. When things go sour in a relationship, you think to end it. But maybe there is a better way out, like talking things out. After all, this is the same person you loved and yearned to spend every single day with; the one whose voice cheered you up on a dull day, and someone you wanted to spend the rest of your life with! So, some questions you need to ask yourself before ending a relationship. These questions should hopefully help you to make the right decision, and ultimately find true happiness. We Need to Talk. More Often. Recently started dating? You want to spend as much time as you can with your special someone, and it is still not enough. Constant texting and frequent phone calls are part of your everyday routine. This may not necessarily be the case a few months or years down the line. But whoever said it must stop! Communication and spending time with each other is extremely important for any relationship, if you wish for its growth. Lack of communication usually leads to misunderstandings. Effective communication is required to know and understand each others requirements and needs in a relationship. Do you think you can develop a healthy relationship with your partner if you both mend your ways? If you think it's worth the effort, then go ahead and talk it out. My Goal. Your Goal. Our Goal?

Sand Sculpture

What happens when a sculptor and an artist get together to create something? Magic! Well, not literally but you’d almost think so. Ray Villafane, a sculptor known for carving pumpkins worked with artist Sue Beatrice to create a sand sculpture of an elephant playing chess with a mouse and the result is gorgeous. The sculpture – on display in Carefree, Arizona – is nine feet tall and features a life-size elephant named Chessie Trunkston and a mouse named Hershel Higginbottom – pretty suitable, if you ask us. The two artist not only worked on the piece and gave it very detailed parts to make sure it looked as real as possible, but also invented a story to go with it, which reads as it follows: “There was a young elephant named Chessie who ate peanuts but was very messy when a mouse had him beat and with no way to cheat he made one last move and compressed him” We’ll be sitting here in awe of the prettiness of this sculpture.

Rich Temples In India

India, a land of diverse culture and potpourri of religious beliefs has witnessed the rise of temples which are not only the destinations to seek solace at the feet of God but retreat to the eyes of the believers. Since time immemorial Hindu dynasties have commissioned the temples which could be termed as the flagship of their inclination towards art and culture as well as elements to make statement about their possessions of wealth. There are several temples that have been reckoned to be places of immense faith and miracle and thus draw a large number of devotees from all corners of the world. Their sacred entities and their affluent architecture have earned them unparalleled fame. However, many temples had to undergo renovation with the help of the donations made by devotees (donations were made to show gratitude to the God). Not as a bribe but to see their spiritual entities getting decked in best of everything, the devotees have donated sacks of gold, silver and diamonds, which have later become the possessions of temple trusts. Here is a glimpse of the temples which earn in crores every year: Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Kerala Photo Courtesy: Flickr Location: W Nada, East Fort, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala The richest temple in the country, the shrine of Lord Padmanabhaswamy possesses wealth of around $20 billion in six vaults of Gold. The Golden idol of Mahavishnu, found in this temple worth Rs. 500 Crore. The treasure that was reported to be found in Padmanabhaswamy Temple includes antique gold ornaments, Golden Crowns, Golden Bow, Sack full of Diamonds and thousands of antique jewellery studded with diamonds and emeralds. The Gold necklace adding charm to the divinity of the deity is 18 ft long and weighs around 2.5kg. Website: http://www.sreepadmanabhaswamytemple.org/   Tirumala Tirupati Venkateswara Temple, Andhra Pradesh Photo Courtesy: Flickr Location: S Mada Street, Tirumala, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh May be till last decade, Tirupati temple was believed to be the richest temple in the country. But after the reports disclosing the unbelievable amount of assets possessed by Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Tirupati has gone down to the second position in terms of possessing wealth. Everyday around 60,000 devotees throng at the Venkateswara Temple. The presiding deity of the temple, Lord Venkateswara is clad with 1000kgs of Gold. The annual income out of selling laddus is around 11million dollars. It is estimated that the temple gets donation of around 650 crore every year. Website: http://www.tirumala.org/   Shirdi Saibaba Shrine, Mumbai Location: Shirdi in Rahata Taluka of Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra Indians irrespective of the region they belong to, have a strong belief in the miracles of Sai Baba. And perhaps that is the reason why people have donated so much to this temple that it has turned out to be the third richest temple in the country. Visited by the people of all religions this divine travel destination possesses gold and silver jewellery worth approximately Rs 32 crore and silver coins worth more than Rs 6 lakh. The annual donation received by the temple reaches up to an amount of around 360crore. Website: http://shrisaibabasansthan.org.in/ Vaishno Devi Temple, Jammu Photo Courtesy: Flickr Location: Katra, Jammu and Kashmir One of the oldest and richest temples in India, the shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is visited by millions of devotees from across the world. Centre of deep rooted religious beliefs of the Hindus, the temple has an annual income of around 500 crore. Every year around 8 million pilgrims visit this temple and it is claimed to be the second most visited temple in India after Tirupati. Website:

Ramesh Y, 40, is a man who can put the armchair environment activists of Bangalore to shame and inspire the youth of the nation at the same time with his incredible contribution to environment conservation. He had single-handedly turned  a stretch of 5-8 sq km of the rocky and parched Karighata Hills into lush fields of foliage with systematic irrigation that is now a paradise for birds and other fauna. Ramesh, who would work as a water delivery guy in Srirangapatna and nearby areas, would often look at the barren stretches of the Karighata Hills and wonder if he could do something to make it look as beautiful as it ought to be. He started by building small bands and watered around them but that didn’t yield results as he was hoping for. Someone advised that digging up a good irrigation system is the only way to save the trees in the area but Ramesh with his limited income and resources had no idea how to go about it.

Tips For Beautiful Skin..

For most women, part of the morning and evening routines involve a skincare regimen of applying creams, moisturizers, tonics, lotions, and the like. Why do women put themselves through this? They do it primarily to combat the signs of aging, and to maintain youthful looks and beautiful skin! It is a safe bet, however, that most women haven’t put much thought into what is in the products that they are using.   Some women probably do not realize that what they are putting on their skin may actually be undermining what they are trying to prevent to begin with. In fact the average woman puts twelve products on her skin daily, most of which contain harmful chemical preservatives. Dr. Myron Wentz, founder and chairperson of USANA Health Sciences, has this to say about beauty in the company magazine’s June/July 2005 issue: "Some say that beauty is only skin deep. Nonsense! I believe that true beauty is a reflection of true health, and true health begins deep inside each and every cell in the body. But true health and true beauty have an outer component, which is why we require protection from environmental insults such as solar radiation, pollutants in our environment and the drying effects of air. . The fact is you simply cannot contain a healthy body if your skin isn’t healthy. And your skin can’t be healthy if your are subjecting it to toxic substances that are ultimately absorbed into your body."

Light Pollution

Light pollution might be making spring start a week early, scientists find We're confusing the trees!  A new study conducted by researchers in the UK suggests that urban light pollution might be causing trees to produce buds earlier than normal, bringing forth an early spring.  Yup, thanks to the bright lights of our big cities, the trees think spring is arriving ahead of time, and the new study notes a time shift of up to 7.5 days in the best-lit parts of the country – and this early budburst is likely to have a knock-on effect on other animals and plants too. It's the first time the effects of light pollution on plants and trees have been studied at a UK-wide scale, reports Anna Menin for The Guardian. Don’t Let Toxic People

Don’t let toxic people rent space in your head. Raise the rent and get them out of there. Surviving the ups, downs, and lightning storms of other people’s moodiness can be quite a challenge.  It’s important, though, to remember that some moody, negative people may be going through a difficult stage in their lives.  They may be ill, chronically worried, or lacking what they need in terms of love and emotional support.  Such people need to be listened to, supported, and cared for (although whatever the cause of their moodiness and negativity, you may still need to protect yourself from their behavior at times). But there’s another type of moody, negative behavior: that of the toxic bully, who will use his or her mood swings to intimidate and manipulate.  It’s this aspect of moodiness that inflicts enduring abuse and misery.  If you observe these people closely, you will notice that their attitude is overly self-referential.  Their relationships are prioritized according to how each one can be used to meet their selfish needs.  This is the kind of toxic behavior I want to look at in this post. I’m a firm believer that toxic mood swings (like chain letter emails) should not be inflicted on one person by another, under any circumstances.  So how can you best manage the fallout from other people’s relentless toxicity? 1.  Move on without them. If you know someone who insists on destructively dictating the emotional atmosphere, then be clear: they are toxic.  If you are suffering because of their attitude, and your compassion, patience, advice, and general attentiveness doesn’t seem to help them, and they don’t seem to care one bit, then ask yourself, “Do I need this person in my life?” When you delete toxic people from your environment it becomes a lot easier to breathe.  If the circumstances warrant it, leave these people behind and move on when you must.  Seriously, be strong and know when enough is enough!  Letting go of toxic people doesn’t mean you hate them, or that you wish them harm; it simply means you care about your own well-being. A healthy relationship is reciprocal; it should be give and take, but not in the sense that you’re always giving and they’re always taking.  If you must keep a truly toxic person in your life for whatever reason, then consider the remaining points… 2.  Stop pretending their toxic behavior is OK. If you’re not careful, toxic people can use their moody behavior to get preferential treatment, because… well… it just seems easier to quiet them down than to listen to their grouchy rhetoric.  Don’t be fooled.  Short-term ease equals long-term pain for you in a situation like this.  Toxic people don’t change if they are being rewarded for not changing.  Decide this minute not to be influenced by their behavior.  Stop tiptoeing around them or making special pardons for their continued belligerence. Constant drama and negativity is never worth putting up with.  If someone over the age 21 can’t be a reasonable, reliable adult on a regular basis, it’s time to… 3.  Speak up!

Triumph Bonneville T120 Review

The challenge Triumph gave themselves when redesigning the Bonneville was nothing short of Herculean. As a company whose entire brand rests on one hundred plus years of biking heritage, this is the bike around which their entire world revolves. How hollow would their references to legendary motorcycling heroes such as Steve McQueen and Marlon Brando sound if the new Bonneville missed the mark? So to this end, the brief from John Bloor, Triumph’s owner, was as clear as it was short. It had to be as good as the original ‘59 Bonneville T120, “and whatever you do,” he said “do not fuck it up.” Which begs the question, did they or didn’t they? To find out, Triumph Australia asked us to take the bikes on an epic journey over some of the most challenging landscapes in Australia to do battle with the weather and the road in a ride we’ll be telling our grandchildren about for years to come. Much more shiny silver in this purse than the Street Twin’s The path for our adventure had been mapped and strategised by Triumph, almost as if to recreate the trouble and effort they went through to build the damn thing. We would push north-east from Adelaide, South Australia’s capital and gateway to the fertile Barossa Valley wine country beyond. Long inhabited by wine-loving Germans who fled their motherland hundreds of years ago, it’s also well-known for its microclimate. This is what helps the grapes grow and makes the soil the best of its kind this side of the Pyrenees. And while the thought of fine wines no doubt put a broad smile on the faces of the assembled press corps, there was one inescapable downside. It was raining and cold as hell. The ‘Cranberry Red and Aluminium Silver’ tank was the clear favourite First Impressions The T120 is an impressive bike at first sight. With acres more chrome and very little plastic bolstering the ranks, it feels like a more capable, more impressive bike than before, even before you saddle up. While only marginally longer and heavier than the Street Twin, it also feels like a whole lot more bike than its kid brother. Once seated, the quality and thought that’s been put into the build becomes even more apparent. From the ignition key and fuel tank right through to the crank cases and spoked wheels, it’s clear that someone at Triumph has put some major effort into this bike. And while the beautifully festooned, 14.5 lt. (3.8 gal) tank’s shape seems substantial in profile, its rearward-tapering means legs are alway comfy. As with the Street Twin, radiator is well integrated The crowning achievement of all this spit and polish is the instrument cluster. While the dual dials stubbornly refuse to remember the display settings you chose during the previous ride, they do immediately feel ‘right’ for the bike. The choice of metals, workmanship, and back lighting are all made with the understanding that it’s here the future owners will be looking most closely while riding. So if you want to impress them, what better place to do it than right here? This attention to detail flows through to the rest of the bike, too. Once your eyes become accustomed to the bike’s appearance, it’s clear that the engine is a beautiful thing to behold and the way it’s topped of by the tank  – especially in the Cranberry Red and Aluminium Silver – is something you would never tire of. ‘Black’ version loses most of the standard model’s chromium Other train-spotting engine details include a 54% increase in torque over the old model with a vast majority of it making an appearance before 4000 rpm. Like just about every other manufacturer out there, the bike now has a 270˚ degree crank. I’m not complaining though, as it sounds great and delivers its argy-bargy beautifully through a six speed ‘box. Amazingly, the new 1200cc power plant is no bigger than the old 865cc unit, and it’s water-cooled. A side-by-side comparo of the old and new models also proves that new bike is a much cleaner proposition overall, with less tabs, cabling and other visual detritus messing up the silhouette. Instrument cluster glitters with attention to detail Non-engine improvements are headed up by the suspension. It’s no secret – even amongst Triumph’s own ranks – that the suspension on the old model was nothing to write home about. And while the new set-up isn’t groundbreaking, it tracks well and never feels uncertain, even when pushed hard. There’s also adjustable traction control, ABS, a slipper clutch, LED lights and heated grips. Now it’s probably a very ‘Aussie’ thing to admit, but I’d never experienced heated grips before. After this ride I’m a big fan. They’re the best thing since sliced, toasted bread. LED headlight has two modes, full and a ‘daytime riding’ half-on mode

A revolutionary piece of farming equipment built by Amreli-based farmer Mansukh Jagani has been in active use for farming operations in India since 1994. This make-shift Royal Enfield tractor modification became very famous in India in 2002 when it won the prestigious award from National Innovation Foundation. Most Fascinating Places on Earth

The Tunnel of Love is just one of many incredible places on earth (Alexander Ishchenko) Our world is full of spectacular places - places we can hardly believe exist. These manmade and natural destinations are best known for their awe-inspiring qualities, with characteristics that defy even our wildest imagination. From the driest place on earth, to a pink-colored lake, they are proof of the beauty (and often the inexplicable weirdness) of our earth. Here are nine such places that are considered some of the most fascinating in the world. 1. THE ATACAMA DESERT WHERE: Peru and Chile WHAT: The Atacama desert is a 600-mile long plateau on the Pacific coast that stretches from southern Peru to northern Chile. Fifty times drier than Death Valley, the Atacama desert has been verified as the driest place on earth, with an average rainfall of just one millimeter per year. FASCINATING FACT: Soil samples taken from Mars have been found to be surprisingly similar to those taken from the Atacama desert. As a result, NASA frequently uses the location to test rover vehicles and instruments prior to embarking on missions to the red planet. The Atacama Desert resembles Mars in many ways (Filipe Frazao) 2. SALAR DE UYUNI WHERE: Bolivia WHAT: Measuring a whopping 4,086 square miles, Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni is the world’s largest salt flat. Though it’s estimated that the flats contain 11 billions tons of salt, the flats are more commonly mined for lithium - in fact, about 70% of the world’s lithium reserves are held in the flats. FASCINATING FACT: During the wet season, the flats are covered by a shallow layer of water. This creates a stunning reflective effect that makes it appear as though those standing on the flats are walking on water. The Salar de Uyuni becomes a giant mirror during the wet reason (iFerol) 3. TUNNEL OF LOVE

Fear Of Failure

The power of the fear of failure (FOF) is immense. That’s why it’s remarkable that FOF is often seen through a negative perspective in 99% of the cases. So many people talk about failure like it’s the end of the world. It’s often because they’ve had some bad experiences with it in the past. What is seen as a failure is unique to each person. Maybe for some people their first business didn’t work out as they had planned to be or others may took an extra class as an undergraduate but it was a little too ‘much’ for them to handle. Because of those bad experiences these people almost start to get mentally ‘paralyzed’ with the thought of something that involves potential adversities. If the fear of failure has the capacity to make people stop doing things that involve potential risk then what can it do if we start looking at it through a different way, through a positive way? Most often we learn from our failures after we made a mistake. However the fear of failure, if used properly, gives us the opportunity to prevent these mistakes from happening and could help us be more efficient, achieve our goals faster and in general to live a better and happier life. 1. FOF inspires progression Most people fear that they aren’t making progress in their lives. Some people still forget a lot of things like when they were young, others still don’t show up on time for their

Get More Energized For Work

If you need help on how to get more energized for work, read on. This is the story of my most embarrassing moment at work. I’m sitting in a toilet cubical and I can barely keep my eyes open. Before I know it, I have the cleaner knocking on the door, asking me if everything was okay. I’d been in there for 30 minutes but had no idea because I’d fallen asleep. I was so ashamed. It was only 10am and I’d been at work for just an hour! This might sound like an extreme example of tiredness but I’m sure you can relate to it. That feeling of having no energy, always feeling tired and all you want to do is go home to bed. Then, when you get home, you end up staying up late anyway. I decided I needed to do something about it. I didn’t want to be that guy sleeping in the toilets at work anymore so I started exploring how to boost my energy levels. That’s when I discovered these tips. If you apply these to your lifestyle, you will be ready to take on whatever work throws at you.  1. Go to bed earlier and wake up earlier   It is so easy to watch that extra episode of your favourite box set when you know you should be going to sleep. You know that going to bed early would be the best idea but you just can’t bring yourself to turn it off. This is because we have entered a gratification cycle. By going on social media sites, we are getting what’s known as dopamine hits. This is from consuming short bursts of content. This makes it harder for us to put down that technology. The blue light found in these devices also suppresses melatonin, a hormone that helps control our sleep and wake cycles. Our cortisol hormone levels then increase, which make it harder for us to get to sleep. As a result, in the morning, you find yourself pressing snooze because you’ve only had 6 hours sleep or less. Well, don’t give in to temptation. By going to sleep and getting up at the same time each day, you are setting your body’s internal clock. This can increase your sleep quality and therefore make you feel less tired the next day. It is important to stick to this routine on the weekend too if you can. Otherwise, you get that dreaded Monday morning feeling when your alarm goes off. If you want a little more help getting up at the right time each day, download a free sleep cycle alarm clock on your mobile phone via iTunes or Google Play. These apps track your sleep patterns and wake you up during your lightest sleep. This is a natural way of waking up and feeling rested without the use of an alarm clock. The best way to find out how much sleep you need each night is by experimenting. Try going to bed a little earlier each night until you feel well rested. If you happen to wake up early with less than an hour and a half before you need to get up, make sure you get up. This is so that you’re not entering a new sleep cycle. If yo don’t do this, the sleep cycle will only be half completed, causing you to feel more tired when your alarm goes off. 2. Eat breakfast

2 Ways To Create Success

2 Ways to Create Success Even When You’re Not “Good Enough” Shh. Do you hear that? That voice in the back of your head. Do you hear it saying, “this is too hard”? “Maybe I’m just not good enough.” “I’ve been at this a while now, and I’m not any closer to my goal than when I started.” That is the voice that will kill your dreams if you let it. Let me let you in on a secret. You don’t have to feel like you’re “good enough” to make a huge change in your life and the life of those around you. Before Walt founded Disney, he was fired from the Kansas Star. Why? He lacked creativity. After that, he founded Laugh-O-Gram Studio, which promptly went bankrupt. Not exactly what you’d call an entertainment expert, right? Yet he still managed to create one of the most successful companies in the world. Do you want to know the difference between successful people and those who give up? You don’t have to take massive action. You don’t even have to feel like you’re good enough. All you have to do is takesmall, consistent steps in the right direction. Eventually, that will turn into momentum, and that momentum will carry you to your goals. Here are two ways you can begin today.

7 Motivation Tips

New inventions to launch?  You may even start on some of these projects but lose motivation very quickly. It seems like ideas come up and fly away without you taking action on them. You’re wondering why some people can start on projects and keep pushing forward while you tend to lose interest after you start something. Well, here’s the thing. Motivation isn’t something you’re born with. It’s not that some people are naturally motivated and others aren’t motivated at all. The big secret is that motivation can be cultivated which means that you too can do something to improve the level of motivation in your life. When you feel like scrapping the idea because you’ve lost interest, have a look at your motivation tank. Here are 7 unspoken rules of motivation that will help you move forward to achieving your dreams: 1. Starting small helps you get motivated If you love to bite off more than you can chew, take note of this principle. If you go after big tasks and giant goals, without breaking them down, you won’t feel very motivated. Instead of going for the kill every day, take small steps to achieving your life goals. Ways to Break Free From Your Fears

Everything is a test in life. Defining moments like graduation, job, marriage, house, relationships, failures, and pain are daunting moments. Our conscious mind dwells on living up to expectations that society pushes on us.   Fear carries a great source of growth; a doorway to discover more about you.  However approaching such tests with a negative attitude will have a detrimental effect on your health. The driving force to overcome fear is your ability to respond when it surfaces. To keep it at bay, live with passion and positive energy so you can prove to yourself that it was worth overcoming. Here are seven ways of overcoming your fears: 1. Decode your fear The first step is setting aside time to reflect on your fear and embracing it. It can be a dark and lonely place and thrown around are a whirlwind of doubts and emotions. If you want to make it out, stare it dead in the eye and decide whether to accept your situation or do something about it in a world that is moving so fast. Self-reflection and meditation is a remedy to initiate the “the I HAVE TO DO THIS” moment.  Write down what has been holding you back, elaborate on the steps that led you to develop this fear, talk to somebody that has gone through the same process. Face your fears face and it will start to lose its power, don’t face them and they become your limits. 2. Remember to relive Look past to remember your previou

How to Set Personal SMART Goals To Succeed

You might have already heard about personal SMART goals. This mnemonic acronym stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-sensitive (with some variations being used), and is considered to be based on Peter Drucker’s management by objectives. Drucker defended that a company can only achieve its goals if their objectives are clear and possible to be monitored. Despite the fact that this method has been first published in 1981 by George T. Doran, many companies have yet to come to understand how to put it into practice. But it isn’t only companies which can improve themselves with it. SMART can also be used to set personal goals in a way that will keep us motivated and able to find out how much time, money and energy should be applied on each one of our goals. Your goals must be based on baby steps (and why happiness isn’t a goal) The biggest problem here is that most of the people have no idea of what they want of their lives. They say that they want to be happy but can’t define what happiness is. But, more than that, it is important to understand that an abstract concept or state of mind can’t be considered as a goal. So the first thing that you need to do is to reflect on what you need
