The Goal Setting Success Guide

The Goal Setting Success Guide Foreword What are a few of your greatest goals in life? To slim down? To take in more revenue? To be in your dream vocation? To assemble your own business? Would you love to live in abundance? To be in the best health? To find your life mate? To have a loving household? For any of these goals, have you ever experienced the resolve to accomplish it, commit resources toward it, work at it for an long time period, only to have it flop finally? Suppose you've a goal to slim down and you decide to cast off 30 lbs. You begin great, cutting back the amount of food you consume. You likewise begin a workout regimen. Daily, you assess your weight to track your advancement. Inside the first few days, you begin realizing a decrease in your weight. Jubilant, you carry on what you've been doing, but it appears that your activities have lost their effectiveness as your weight loss has stopped. If anything, it appears to be increasing somewhat compared to your lowest weigh-in. You get disheartened. You begin to free and overeat, reconciling that it's never possible for you to accomplish the goal as it's in your genes or you simply don't have the self-control. You start to lie to rest the whole whim of weight loss. Predictably, you begin to acquire back all the weight you shed and more. This makes you even more downhearted and you begin consuming still more. At some stage down the road, you get another urge to slim down. You start up the goal pursuit once more, more determined than ever. Nevertheless, past events duplicate themselves and soon you're back where you began, if not in a sorrier place. Does this blueprint of behavior go for to any of the goals you've determined to achieve previously? Being intertwined in a ceaseless cycle of setting the goal and attempting to accomplish it, but never quite reaching it? At this point in time, you feel heartsick. You reconcile that you're not meant to accomplish this goal and choose to center your energy on something else… Well help is here. Mistakes, Personal Experience and Strategies A lot of individuals are guilty of attempting to undertake their goals utilizing a series of trial and error approaches. They arbitrarily throw their energy out there with all their might on the few steps they acknowledge, believing that this will get them to their destination. They handle their goals in a hit-or-miss approach, and then hope that everything will turn for the better ultimately. Although it might work in the short-term and on littler goals, it doesn't work with huge, long-run goals. For instance, you might get away with dropping off 5 lbs of weight by simply eating less and working out more, but to drop off additional weight and sustain that weight loss calls for proper strategy. 3 The Basics A lot of individuals have this misconceived notion of goal accomplishment as they only come into contact with the events of others’ goals. They're not tangled in all the thought-processes, intricacies and literal planning that went into the accomplishment of those goals. Have a look at Olympians. They don't win their medals because they merely blindly train daily. There are a lot of things that happen behind the scenes, like training by the most beneficial coaches, suitable diets, self-help courses to put them in the correct mindset, studying the correct techniques, and so forth. Microsoft didn't get to where it is today because of luck. It was by conscious strategizing and preparation that allowed the company to carve its particular niche in the market. I've set and chased a lot of different goals in my life. My universal approach toward goal accomplishment in the past was to merely center on the goal intently and do everything I could to accomplish it. The most I'd ever done in terms of preparation was to simply distinguish my end target and engaged an arbitrary length of time in my calendar to work at it. That was it. Beyond that, it was all about just trying to get there. After all, that was what I believed success in goal accomplishment came down to. A mixture of one’s want of the goal and one’s doggedness. While I did that, I confronted deviating successes depending upon what the goals were. For goals like making great grades, they were accomplished as long as I maintained assignments. Additional goals like bringing in more revenue, building my own business, and doing well in my previous job were all within my reach also, as long as I kept banging at them. Nevertheless, there were particular goals I had trouble with. For instance, my dieting goal. I was never obese but I hoped to be slimmer. For the following 3 years, I noticed myself dropping time and energy attempting to hit the goal but bombing in the process. I tried out all kinds of different diets. I attempted counting calories. I tried out different sorts of workouts, exercising daily, to not working out in the least. When I began on the goal, I'd come through in losing some weight in the beginning week. However, it never survived beyond that. After the beginning week, matters would go along status quo, and it was a matter of weeks before I'd go back to my previous eating habits, commonly eating more as well as I felt deprived. It was absolutely puzzling and disappointing, as I couldn't understand how I'd get so much success with other goals, but not with a goal like slimming down. Well, it wasn’t because I didn't desire my goal enough. I unquestionably felt that I was as passionate about this goal as I was about other goals. I believed that perhaps I wasn't relentless enough about the goal. Nevertheless, if I wasn't, I wouldn’t have expended years of my life working at it, would I? Something has to be wrong with the way I was attempting to reach the goal. 4 I finally got sick and tired of being on an emotional rollercoaster, questing after, and bombing repeatedly at this goal and beating myself up over it each time I bombed. I sat down to have a look at my state of affairs and name how I might truly hit this goal. I began looking around for tips. I was working at my business daily. In my daily work, I was always presented with big business goals and I had to deliver. I considered how I'd handle those goals to finally conquer them. Then it hit me what I was missing – a suitable strategy to accomplish my goal. A lot of big companies breathe and eat strategy. That led me to my fruition. To put it plainly – If strategizing has been guiding multi-billionaire businesses to success through the years, wouldn’t it add up to practice it in my personal life also, to accomplish the same degree of success? I began employing the precepts I discovered toward my weight loss goal. I established a vision, distinguished the roadblocks I was facing, discovered counteracting techniques, made particular plans, did a tracking sheet, etc. Inside the 1st week, I could tell matters were changed this time. I recognized, with a deep-rooted sense of certainty that I was going to win. Sure as shooting, a year afterwards, I had dropped off 20 lbs. It happened so easily that I questioned why I was fighting with this goal for so long originally. Then I recognized as long as I utilize the same operative precepts and abide by the same formula, that I’d realize similar success as well. And that was what occurred when I employed it for all my goals from then on. All of a sudden, goal accomplishment became much simpler. The doubt that used to surround the success of my goal quests dried-up in the face of this newfound perceptivity. It felt astonishing, as it was like I had exposed a secret. Although time and energy still have to be invested, the action of goal pursuit has twisted into a predictable science. I recognized as long as I abided by the same process in all my goals, I'd decidedly face certain success and triumph. I've put down the fundamental elements of what I was doing so as to share it so you can get the same success too. Viper-The Foundation To Goal Achievement V-I-P-E-R is a 5-step model, which lists the five crucial steps for successful goal accomplishment. These five steps are: • V isualize: Truly visualize the goal • I mplement: Implement techniques to succeed in the goal • P lanning: distinguish plan factors based on the techniques • E xecution: Get moving on the plan and goal • R ecap: evaluate the outcome and future steps 5 VIPER is actually a term that is used for several different things... snakes, cars airplanes...things with power. With VIPER, you’ll discover that it gives you the might to crack even what appeared to be the most difficult goals in the past. Goals you never believed doable will begin coming within your reach, and in a matter of time, subdued. I personally utilize this framework to accomplish my long-run goals and it's worked marvels in achieving my goals. Don't let the simpleness of the model fool you. While these five steps appear very easy by themselves, they're the core of successful goal achievements, particularly for big goals where the ‘What’ and ‘How’ toward accomplishing them becomes subtle. That being stated, VIPER isn't a miracle pill which omits the hard work to accomplish goals. VIPER isn't an elixir which lets you accomplish your goals without hoisting a finger. At the end of the day, you still need to put in the time and energy for your goals. But with VIPER, you'll discover the goal accomplishment to be significantly simpler. Rather than success being a random, hit-or-miss event, it will become a predictable, securable outcome. You'll begin seeing your goals come to fruition and wonder why you fought so long with them in the first place. VIPER You frequently see a lot of other self-help authors expounding different techniques to goal accomplishment. A few discuss how goal accomplishment is all about not shilly-shallying, being motivated, relentless, self-disciplined, ‘just doing it’, etc. At best, these can be fluffy, air-filled techniques for goals. While these tools are crucial to be sure, they don't provide you any insights as to ‘what’ precisely are the central steps required to accomplish your goals. Doggedness and want may take you far, but they may only take you so far without a suitable strategy to hold everything united. You surely can't rely on doggedness and want alone to accomplish your big goals. A smarter, more

Yes, the sad fact is more people collectively across the world are now suffering from being fat than from not having enough food to eat. One estimate puts the number of obese at 1 billion compared to 800 million people who are underfed. Not surprisingly the Western "first world" countries are the worst offenders, the United States, Canada, Western Europe, Australia and so on are leading the list. If you aren't careful in these places and you eat the same diet and are just as inactive as your neighbor your body may just give in one day as a result of your unhealthy lifestyle. Either way your quality of life will be real low. There's two main reasons why the world is fat and why we are experiencing this obesity epidemic. Although it's not hard to guess what they are they are well worth exploring. The 7 Week Slim Down 1 - From People Consuming an Excessive Amount of Bad Food. The first big reason why so many people are fat is their terrible diets. Too many calories often coming from horrid food choices, empty calories from sugar filled soft drinks, poorly thought out and timed carbohydrates, fried foods. The list is near endless, but I'm sure you get the point. A great deal of people put no thought into their diet at all and are basically poisoning themselves in something akin to the film "Super-Size Me". Haven't seen the movie? Well you should. 2- From People Being Almost Totally Inactive. Exercise can make up some of the ground lost from a poor diet. Real exercise, not five minutes of walking up a flight of stairs or a few sets of sit ups once a week. The fact that a great many people don't exercise at all and instead lead quite sedentary lives is a huge factor why they and others like them are getting fatter and fatter every year. OK, so that's the bad news. It's best to get it over with so we can see how important it is to buck these trends. Our very lives could hang in the balance. Looking good and feeling healthy certainly does. Now for the good news! If you don't want to be one of the fat and sick you can choose not to be. Getting fit requires some discipline and some hard work, but seven weeks of both can transform your body into something that looks and feels great. You've got the information in front of you. I've seen this method work again and again, for the young and old for both men and women. All it requires is heart and focus. Are you ready to step away from the pack? You've already committed and gotten a copy of our 7 week slim down weight loss challenge. I have faith you can take the next two important steps of reading the guide and acting on the information I'm about to share with you. A lifetime of great looks and vibrant dynamic health is waiting. Make no mistake you can do it. Let's get started! GETTING READY TO BEGIN THE 7 WEEK SLIM DOWN Before we get into the "how" and "why" of our 7 Week Slim Down there's two things we need to cover that can really help you accomplish even your wildest fitness dreams. Both are x-factors that are often skipped over in other programs and by other fitness instructors. Don't make that mistake because they are absolute 100% game changers that can help motivate you even in the worst of times. The first is realistic goal setting. The second is advice on choosing the right training partner. Pay close attention! SMART Fitness Goal Setting The foundation of your coming fitness success is the clear goals you set for yourself before you even start the program. Humans are on the whole goal orientated for better or worse. Trying to get slim and fit without setting The 7 Week Slim Down winning goals is akin to trying to drive across country without a map. It's a waste of time and energy. Even worse, you are very unlikely to ever end up at your destination. How do you set smart goals? Here's a simple formula that can definitely help. Just keep the word SMART in mind. Which translates into... * S is for Specific. Yes you'd like to slim down in the next 7 weeks. However the goal of "slimming down" is not the best goal to help you stay motivated. It's way too broad. Pick a goal that's way more specific like losing 12 pounds (or more or less). This gives you a clear target and will greatly increase your chances of success! * M is for Measurable. You want your goals to be as measurable as possible. Instead of wanting to "run more", set a goal similar to "I want to add 5 minutes more to my cardio at each workout session until I'm running 45 minutes four days a week". This lets you measure your results as well as your progress. * A is for Action. Your goals should inspire action. The more you take action the much more likely you are to both stay committed and ultimately succeed. * R is for Realistic. Don't set unrealistic goals, ever. These only serve to discourage. Realistic goals, especially once you start achieving them will inspire consciously and maybe even more importantly subconsciously! * T is for Timed. Timed goals are best. Like our 7 Week Slim Down! These create a sense of urgency and importance that will keep you moving quickly forward. Choosing A Fitness Training Partner If at all possible find a reliable and motivated training partner for the 7 Week Slim Down. This will make things more fun, interesting and give you another set of eyes to monitor and track your fitness and weight loss success. It's also a lot harder for most of us to bail out on our commitments when we have another person involved. A good workout partner can keep you going when the going gets tough. Even the world's top athletes, bodybuilders and fitness competitors always credit their training partners as being an essential part of their ultimate success. You and I are no different, so do your best to find a companion for your slim down journey. It's much more than worth it. Now we're ready to begin! WEEK 1 - EASE INTO BETTER NUTRITION AND EXERCISE One of the secrets of success with our 7 Week Slim Down is paying close attention to how well you pace yourself. Trying to do too much too soon can wreck your program before it has barely even begun. A much better method is to take your 1st week and ease into better nutrition and exercise. Follow these tips and not only will staying motivated be easy, but you'll also be building positive momentum that can very much help you achieve your weight loss goals! * Determine Your Fitness Level. To know where you are going it makes good sense to understand your starting point. How in (or out) of shape are you? Here's some things to consider... How many push ups can you do? Your pulse before and after a 1 mile walk. Your weight and if possible your body fat percentage. Your level of strength and endurance will give you an idea of just how much you can do your first week without overdoing it. * Start Moving More. On three alternating days your first week get moving with a brisk walk. This can be in your neighborhood, at a park or on the treadmill. How long you walk should be based on just how your body reacted to your 1 mile test. If on the test your pulse went through the ceiling start with fifteen or twenty minutes of walking. If it barely moved aim for 45 minutes. Remember the goal for Week 1 is to just get you back into the habit of exercise NOT to leave you exhausted! * Do Some Light Calisthenics. Calisthenics are simply exercises that rely only on your body weight to tone your muscles. We'll dig deeper into them later, but for now all we want to do is a few light easy sets every other day on the days you aren't walking. Three sets of push ups (on your knees is OK if you can't do a full push up) doing half of your maximum reps, plus three sets of however many sit ups or crunches you can do is plenty for Week 1. Remember don't over do it! * Eliminate Sugar Filled Calorie Containing Drinks. A small diet adjustment to get you on the right track you'll likely hardly even notice is to cut out drinking empty calories. Drop soda and stop adding milk, creamer and sugar to your coffee. Replace with water, green tea and coffee without the extras. Use stevia as a natural calorie free sweetener and I promise you won't miss sugar for more than a day or two. * Cut Out Obvious Diet Busters. Week 1 isn't about making drastic diet changes, but it is time to remove blatant diet busters. Get rid of the fast food, the fried junk and the cake, candy and chips. Later on we'll dig into winning diet concepts and methods. For now use your own common sense to clean up your worst diet offenders! So Week 1 of our 7 Week Slim Down isn't

The Power of Meditation Chapter 1: Meditation and Success Mediation for the Modern Life Somewhere in Silicon Valley, a group of computer programmers sit silently in a room together, legs crossed and eyes half-closed, listening to the sound of their own breath. Elsewhere, the owner of a small real estate company starts her day by breathing deeply and engaging in yoga poses. Still, elsewhere, a data entry specialist finishes his turkey sandwich and returns to his cubicle, puts on his headphones, and breathes deeply while listening to the sounds of bells and waterfalls. Meditation looks different for different people, but one thing is for sure: it is quickly gaining popularity in Western culture. It has many professional and personal benefits including increased productivity, reduction of stress and depression, and reduction of troubling physical symptoms such as headaches and muscle tension, to name a few. The word “meditation” often elicits images of devout men sitting silently in mystical temples far away. It can seem foreign and certainly something too far removed from daily life to have a practical application for business or even for personal gain. You may have preconceived notions about what meditation entails or cultural or spiritual beliefs which you feel may hinder you from participating in meditation. While meditation does have its roots in several spiritual practices, it is increasingly being recommended by Western medical professionals as research is bringing to light the multiple health benefits of regularly engaging in this form of focused relaxation. The Power of Meditation 5 Regardless if you choose to meditate for spiritual reasons or for physical and mental health, meditation generally consists of the following elements: • A relaxing environment: whether it is in the woods, by the lake, in a studio, or in your living room, mediation usually occurs in an environment that is physically comfortable and free from noisy distractions. Some people choose to sit on a cushion and focus on their breathing in complete silence while others may choose to lay on their beds and listen to relaxing music. • Posture or movement: during mediation, the participant will generally sit in a specific posture, such as with the legs crossed, spine straight, and hands resting on the knees. Sometimes participants will lay down or engage in specific movements, such as with yoga or t’ai chi. • Focus: while meditating, the participant

Create Blog Profits With Simple Methods

Create Blog Profits With Simple Methods Steps To Building A Successful Blog An Acquaintance recently asked me if I would help her begin a blog. Her request inspired me to look at what I have acquired from operating my own blog for the past two years. My initial proposition was to spend awhile learning and reading. The World Wide Web is flooded with blogging data and advice. I am not the man to aid you in returning immense numbers overnight, but this data is all over. I am also not the source for technical points; I acknowledge what I ought to know for my situation, and I determine more as I require it. I assume I am like most individuals who release material on the Internet. I classify myself as a small-but-serious blogger. I am also a big-time consumer of material and media. I follow many blogs in several niches, both for material and to learn what works. So based on my experience, what should I tell my acquaintance that’ll get her set out without consuming her? Here is where I began. For me, blogging is basically a relationship. Two crucial components of any relationship are intent and association. Choose what you want to achieve. You are able to find dozens of high-quality direction about every aspect of arranging and controlling your blog, but none of it is one-size-fits-all. Each choice-design, program, post length, style—depends on the ending goal you have. Conclusions that do not seem like a big deal now may become crucial later. For instance, self-hosting with your own domain may feel like an unneeded expense, but it is crucial if your goal is to construct a personal brand or a business around your web site. Remember that it is about your audience. Design should fit the blog’s personality. An overly easy design might appear plain and undesirable, but the minimalist theme in reality sets the tone for his/her message and heightens the material. Everything matters. Every choice either moves you towards your goal or away from it. Personally, I do not pay a lot of attention to figures because traffic is not part of my objective. I consider and track analytics each month, but that is really more about curiosity. I seek trends, try out other ideas, and learn from my errors. I consider my site as a ring, and I think about appealing to readers who heighten the quality of the discussion. The point? My technique is deliberate and fits my total goal. Incidentally, my figures have more than tripled since 1/1/10. Information, expertise, and opinion are promptly available from an endless assortment of sources. I consistently follow writers and other bloggers to keep up with the trends and ideas of others. The things that are most important are consistency and legitimacy. Antics and tricks provide short-term spikes at the expense of long-term trust and loyalty. You may fool me into visiting, but I won’t be back if you treat me like a fool. Beware of barriers. I appreciate concerns about spam and privacy, but balance those against the need for readers to connect. Make your commentary form friendly and inviting. With so many available forums, I’m likely to choose those that cater to my communication preferences. For example, some blogs force me to use my Google ID. Since I don’t access my Gmail account, I’ll never see follow-up comments; why bother composing a thoughtful comment? I know there are ways around that, but why should I have to do extra work to contribute to your blog? I find that many folks don’t like to leave public comments, but they love more personal contact. If you don’t want to provide an email address, consider creating a simple contact form. It seems obvious but fewer barriers, more connection, and so more readers. That is what I offered as guidance to get her pointed in the right direction. What would you add?   Creating Sponsored Reviews for Greater Income Are Your Blogs Losing Money What is the culture medium with the biggest advertising spending on the globe? Television. Television ads are so effective for advertisers and so lucrative for TV companies, because viewers will inevitably pay attention to the advertisements. Would we be able to say the same things about content based websites, like blogs? Not exactly. If you consider Google AdSense or banner ads, the most used monetization methods, you will conclude that they practically different from the editorial content. For instance, if you have a blog and display ads on your sidebar only your readers will be able to altogether brush off the advertisements if so they desire. A few even use ad-blockers, so they will not see your AdSense units or banners regardless where you place them. What would the equivalent of a television ad be for a blog? Likely an advertorial, which is an article written by the advertiser about his product, and put up in the blog like an additional post. Another option is the sponsored reviews, which are posts published by the blogger critiquing a particular product or service. Most bloggers choose this example because they get to write the article content themselves, and readers will not be bothered with another writing style. Here’s a fact that reinforces the similarity of sponsored reviews with TV advertisements: If you ask any advertiser whether he would like to pay for a banner ad or for a sponsored review, he will certainly say the sponsored review. Why? Because he will acquire a much better return on investment, as the sponsored review will give his product a better and greater kind of exposure with the readers of that blog. As a result, a sponsored review is probably among the most lucrative way to monetize a blog. Last week one company offered me $1000 to write a critique about its last product. It was related to my niche, and I was sure most of my readers would find it of value. This made me wonder: are most bloggers leaving money on the table by not doing sponsored reviews? For instance, if I started doing them on this blog I could easily add another $4,000 per month in profits (considering one sponsored review per week), which would simply double up my advertising profit on the blog. I think this proportion is true for most bloggers. If bloggers started doing sponsored reviews they'd double up their ad revenue. That being said, I think it's possible for a blogger to do sponsored reviews while keeping his integrity. There are 3 main requirements: 1. A clear disclosure on each review 2. Honesty while writing the review 3. The choice of products that is truly relevant and useful for the readers Other people claimed that sponsored posts could get you in trouble with Google, but this isn't true as long as you use the no follow attribute on the links inside the review. Google does not have a problem with sponsored links, as long as you clearly label them as such. In essence the question that’s raised

The Money Mindset and Living Financially Free

The Money Mindset and Living Financially Free   Intro In this blog you'll discover the foundations of the manifestation process and the inbuilt power of your mind to produce whatever truth you prefer. You'll dive into the exploration of your awareness and find that it's among the most unbelievable and exciting domains one may inhabit. Welcome to the endless potentiality that's you! Everything in your life is a consequence of what you understand, what you experience and how you interact with your awareness. These factors make up the elemental source from which everything else develops. Learning about yourself may be the most captivating enterprise one may imagine. Manifesting is a power of consciousness at the inner level, and isn't determined by any outer conditions. We all share the same inside source; no one gets more or less. The sole difference is that a few individuals are more cognizant of it than other people. But, with this and with a favorable attitude to learn, you are able to go as deeply as you want. This is your willingness to explore the unknown.   The Basics The more you understand about the unknown the more you really comprehend how little you understand. It makes you modest and brings you back to the domain of wonders, miracles and magic. A domain in which everything is conceivable. Please study this blog with a wide-open mind. You don't have to trust everything that's written here – simply explore as a scientist would do. When you hit a passage that's hard to grasp, take a break and ponder it awhile. Let your mind process this fresh information. Read this blog a couple of times, take your time and produce your own experiences. Those who truly want to attain a financially free mindset, have only to set their minds on it, and acquire the proper means, as they do in relation to any other aim which they want to achieve, and it can be easily done. But however simple it might be to make revenue, I have no doubt many will agree it's the hardest thing in the world to hold on to it. It consists merely in spending less than we bring in; that appears to be a really simple issue. A lot of my readers might say, “we comprehend this: this is mindset, and we know mindset is wealth; we know we can’t eat our cake and have it as well.” The Basics True mindset is misconceived, and individuals go through life without properly grasping what that principle is. One says, “I've an income of so much, and here is my neighbor who has the same; yet yearly he flourishes and I fall short; why is it? I understand all about mindset.” He thinks he does, but he doesn't.   There are men who believe that mindset consists in scrimping, in cutting off two cents from the wash bill and doing all sorts of little, mean things. Mindset isn't meanness. The misfortune is, likewise, that this class of individuals let their mindset apply in only one direction. They fancy they're so wonderfully frugal in saving a penny where they should spend two cents that they think they can afford to waste in other directions. Before kerosene oil was exposed, one might stop overnight at nearly any farmer’s house and get a really good supper, but after supper he may attempt to read in the living room, and would find it impossible with the ineffective light of one candle. The hostess, seeing his quandary, would state: “it's rather hard to read here evenings; we never have an additional candle except on special occasions." These special occasions happen, perhaps, twice a year. In that way the woman saves 5, 6, or 10 dollars: but the information which may be gained from having the extra light would, naturally, far outweigh a ton of candles. But the difficulty doesn't end here. Feeling that she is so frugal in candles, she believes she can afford to go often to spend 20 or 30 dollars for ribbons and frills, many of which are not essential. This false belief may frequently be seen in other instances. You find great businessmen who save old envelopes and scraps of paper. This is all OK; they might in this way save 5 or 10 dollars a year, but being so frugal (only in paper), they believe they can afford to squander time; to have expensive parties, and to drive their fancy cars. This is an illustration of “penny wise and pound foolish.” I never knew a man to succeed by applying this sort of mindset. True sound financial mindset consists in always making the profit exceed the expenditure. Wear the old clothes a bit longer if essential; give up the new pair of gloves; fix the old dress: exist on plainer food if need be; so that, under all conditions, unless some unexpected accident happens, there will be a allowance in favor of the profit. A penny here and a dollar there saved, goes on accumulating, and in that way the desired result is accomplished. It requires some training, possibly, to achieve this mindset, but when once used to it, you'll discover there's more satisfaction in rational saving than in irrational spending. Here is a formula which I advocate: I've found it to work a great cure for extravagance, and particularly for mistaken mindset. When you find that you've no surplus money at the end of the year, and yet have a great income, I advise you to take a couple of pieces of paper and mark down each item of expenditure. Post it daily or weekly in 2 columns, one headed “essentials” or even “comforts”, and the other headed “luxuries,” and you'll discover that the latter column will be double, or more, larger than the former. The true comforts of life cost but a small portion of what most of us may earn. Think of the keep up with the Jones' attitude: One may say; “there's a man who has an income of fifty thousand dollars annually, while I have but one thousand dollars; I knew that young man when he was 5   poor like myself; now he's wealthy and thinks he's better than I am; I'll show him that I'm as good as he is; I will go and purchase a fancy car; no, I can't do that, but I'll go and rent one and ride this afternoon on the same road that he does, and therefore prove to him that I'm as good as he is.” My friend, you don't have to do all that; you may easily prove that you are “as good as he is;” you've only to behave as well as he does; but you can't make anybody feel that you're rich as he is. Also, if you act like this, and waste your time and spend your income, you'll remain poor, in order that you might keep up “appearances,” and, after all, deceive nobody. You’ll not advance in the world, if your envy forces you into debt. In this country, where we believe the majority ought to rule, we brush aside that principle in reference to style, and let a handful of individuals, calling themselves the aristocracy, run up a fake standard of perfection, and in striving to rise to that standard, we perpetually keep ourselves poor; all the time grinding away for the sake of outside appearances. How much more sensible to say, “We’ll regulate our expenditures by our income, and save something for a rainy day.” Individuals should be as sensible on the issue of money as on any other subject. Like movements produce like effects. You can't accumulate a fortune by taking the road that leads to impoverishment. Those who live beyond their means, with no thought of a setback in this life, may never attain monetary independence. Men and women used to satisfying every impulse, will find it difficult, initially, to cut back their various unnecessary expenses, and will feel it a great denial to live in a littler home than they've been accustomed to, with less expensive furniture, less pricy clothing, less entertainment, and additional extravagances; but, after all, if they'll try saving a “nest-egg,” or judiciously investing, they'll be surprised at the joy from perpetually adding to their little “bundle”. The old suit, and the old hat, will work for another season; the water tastes better than champagne; a brisk walk will prove more stimulating than a ride in the finest auto; an evening spent playing a family game will be far more pleasant than a 50 dollar night out, when you begin to know the pleasures of saving. Thousands of men are kept poor, and tens of thousands are made so after they've acquired riches, in result of living beyond their means. “Easy come, easy go,” is an old and true adage. A spirit of pride, fulness and vanity, when allowed to have full sway, is the undying problem. Many individuals, as they set out to prosper, instantly start spending for luxuries, till in a short time their expenses eat up their income, and they become ruined in their absurd attempts to maintain appearances.   Envision What You Want Most individuals never consider what they wish in their lives. They live without this knowledge or premeditation and become victims of their own condition. Work is simply about a job – to make do 6   financially. Life becomes a series of troubles like choosing to live someplace because the rent is inexpensive, never realizing how to be in relationships or becoming ineffective parents. The list carries on and on. See It Inside you there's a hungering for more. Is it meaning, contact or a richer understanding of life? No one has ever acquainted such individuals with the concept of perpetual possibility. “As a man thinketh, so is he.” A major mode to manifesting the life you wish is to think over what you wish out of life. What is it that you wish to do with your life? A great exercise is to take a sheet of paper and put down the answers to the accompanying questions:  What is my deepest want?  What would I like to achieve in my lifetime?  What would I like to achieve this year?  Where would I wish to be in five years?  Where would I wish to be in twenty years?  What am I great at?   Check into all fields of your life:  Your line of work  Your relationships  Your wellness  Your financial state of affairs  How you have fun (how you spend your vacations)   After you've put down a list of what you wish to achieve in your life, you'll need to set priorities for them. Simply take the list that you put down and provide every topic 1 - 5 points. 1 becoming the least crucial to five points becoming the most. Now you've priorities in your life, which will help you determine where you wish your attention to be. It's an easy equation: comprehend simply that you wish to spend most of your time with the number 1 matter on your list. Spend somewhat less time with the number 2 entry on your list – and so forth for numbers 3 through 5. There's no need to slice the day into time slots. Just by doing this exercise you're programming your consciousness to spend time harmonizing with your list. Let's presume you'd like to discover your life partner in the next 2 years, and that this is your chief goal, at the very top of your list. When you check into your thought process at the end of the day and you discover that you've not spent most of your spare time addressing this goal, you've a misalignment, and you might never accomplish your goal. When this occurs merely realize it and correct accordingly. Working all day only to sit down on your couch and watch television won't get you where you wish to be. You have to take action to manifest your goal(s), for instance: 7      Take action by signing on for a class  Enroll in a weekend seminar on a matter that fascinates you  Go to a workshop that centers on your interest  Spend time at places where you are able to meet individuals
